Essential Duties

  • Greets showroom customers and determines the nature of their visit.
  • Directs customers to the correct department, notifies the appropriate person that a customer is waiting and introduces the customer to appropriate employee.
  • Takes thorough message if phone is not picked up and communicates messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Creates all stock cards for new vehicles.
  • Prepares and handles all Dealer Trades.
  • Records all dealer trades on a master control log for the month.
  • Printing and monitoring Advanced Invoices for incoming vehicle inventory.
  • Enter all New Vehicle inventory into CDK with proper status codes.
  • Reporting New Vehicle Sales.
  • Enter any claims for new vehicles.
  • Waits on customers at cashier window.
  • Receipts in money from customers
  • Processes titles and registration through computer system with State of MI.
  • Assists with other clerical duties as requested.
  • Cross-train other office personnel in the event of your absence
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Summary: Sells New and Used Vehicles while maintaining appropriate Unit Volume and Customer Satisfaction levels.

*Maintains appearance of New and Used Vehicle lot.

*Stays up to date and certified on all courses and qualifications specified by Ford Motor Company and assigned by Dean Arbour Ford.

*Stays current and understands the Federal, State and local laws which govern retail auto sales.

*Keeps up to date on all changes in product, product technology, features, accessories and incoming inventory.

*Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to all customers who enter the showroom or dealership lot.

*Turns over every customer to the Sales Manager.

*Prepares sold vehicles for customer delivery (fills gas, ensures all features are operational, etc.)

*Delivers vehicles to Customers, ensuring that the Customer understands all features, warranty and paperwork.

*Daily phone calls for sales prospects

*Follow up on all post delivery items

*Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction

*Reviews and analyzes goals set and what has been met daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.  Determines how to better utilize time more effectively to reach said goals.

*Other tasks assigned.

*Must have a Valid Driver's License

*Must have a clean driving history
